West Ham: End of Nayef Aguerd's loan at Real Sociedad

On Tuesday, July 1, Real Sociedad announced the end of Nayef Aguerd’s loan spell. The Moroccan defender now returns to West Ham.

Nayef Aguerd spent last season on loan from West Ham at Real Sociedad. At the conclusion of the campaign, the Spanish club officially ended the loan this Tuesday with an official statement.

The Moroccan international leaves the Basque club after a year in La Liga. Having arrived last summer from England, the 29-year-old centre-back has confirmed he does not wish to rejoin the Hammers’ squad. Nayef will therefore be seeking a new club this summer.

West Ham’s asking price, set at around €23 million, could complicate a permanent move. Several European clubs, including Juventus, AS Roma, and Olympique de Marseille, have expressed their interest, but a final decision on his future is expected very soon.
