Watford have announced that Moussa Sissoko has rejoined the club two years after leaving to join Nantes.
The 34-year-old midfielder returns to Vicarage Road on a free transfer, and has signed a two-year contract.
“We all know his qualities as a player and he’s still playing at a very high level,” Hornets manager Tom Cleverley – who played alongside Sissoko during his last spell at the club – told the official website.
“He’s going to be a key part of the squad this year.”
Sissoko previously spent the 2021/22 season with Watford, making 38 appearances and scoring two goals before moving to France following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The 71-cap French international previously played for Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, having began his professional career with Toulouse.
