The Magpies will take on Boro in the second round of the Women's FA Cup on Sunday after the Teessiders beat Hull City Women on penalties last weekend.
Middlesbrough are two tiers below United but are enjoying a strong season in FA Women's National League Division One North and will be looking to cause an upset against their North East neighbours.
A crowd of 3,013 watched Newcastle's last game - a Women's League Cup loss to Liverpool Women - while 11,620 came to St. James' Park for last month's Championship fixture against Southampton Women.
Tickets for Sunday's 1pm (GMT) kick-off are on sale here, but supporters who can't make the game will be able to watch live and exclusive on the Official Newcastle United App.
Northern Ireland ace Rachel Furness will be part of the commentary team for the game, alongside Peter Smith, as she continues to recover from an injury.
Beth Lumsden was United's derby hero when they beat Sunderland Women at the Stadium of Light in October and will be looking to shine once more, while Liv Watt, Elysia Boddy and Emma Kelly both spent time with Boro earlier in their careers.
The visitors also boast a handful of ex-Newcastle players in their ranks, so it promises to be a tantalising Tyne-Tees tussle.
