Southampton have agreed a deal to appoint Ivan Jurić as their new manager according to the Athletic's David Ornstein.
Jurić has reportedly agreed a contract until the summer of 2016, which includes a two-year option to extend. He is expected to arrive in the UK on Friday and, pending a visa appointment, could be in place for the Saints' trip to Fulham on Sunday.
The Croatian is available having parted ways with Roma in November after fewer than two months at the Stadio Olimpico, and will replace Russell Martin in the St. Mary's dugout.
Despite sealing promotion last season, Martin was sacked after just one win from the opening 16 league games of the season, with his final game in charge a 5-0 home loss to Tottenham.
Southampton are rooted to the bottom of the table, with just five points so far, and are nine points adrift of safety.
