Barcelona winger Raphinha sealed their win over Real Sociedad on Monday night, firing his spot kick into the bottom corner. He accepted the yellow card in order to dedicate his goal back home to Brazil.

The Blaugrana would end up 2-0 winners over La Real, having taken the lead in the first half through Lamine Yamal. Barcelona would have numerous chances, forcing good saves from Alex Remiro, and Raphinha himself had also cracked the inside of the post.

With Robert Lewandowski off the pitch in stoppage time, Raphinha took the penalty, and revealed a ‘pray for RS’ vest, referencing the devastating floods in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. According to the BBC, more than half a million people have been displaced from their homes by the floods, and 147 have been confirmed dead, while many more are missing.

Former Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa was seen last week helping flood victims with his jetski, as he lives in one of the affected areas, having moved to Gremio in Porto Alegre. Raphinha himself is from Porto Alegre, and grew up in the city before moving for football to Florianopolis at the age of 18.
