Serie A have released extended footage of Dan Ndoye’s stunning improvised goal during the 1-1 between Bologna and Napoli in Serie A last weekend, a goal which the Switzerland international described as the ‘best’ of his career to date.

Ndoye scored the second-half equaliser for the Rossoblu in their 1-1 draw against second-placed Napoli last time out in the league, finding the net with a brilliant goal with an incredible flick that lobbed Simone Scuffet and went in off the crossbar.

That was the 24-year-old’s eight Serie A goal of the 2024-25 season. He had only managed to find the net once across the whole of the 2023-24 campaign under Thiago Motta.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ndoye described his goal as: “The best of my career. I saw the ball coming back a bit, instinctively, I tried to hit it with my heel and the shot came off for me.”
