Speaking to Kicker, 26-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach central defender Matthias Ginter confirms he will stay at the Bundesliga club despite lucrative offers.

“I will definitely stay in Gladbach,” said the German. “The current team has great potential. The club is in the process of building something up with its great fans and the environment. I still have a contract.”

Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea have all shown interest in signing Ginter, who has a contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2021. The club have the option to extend his deal until 2022 but would prefer to negotiate a longer contract with the Germany international.
