Manager Walter Mazzarri is set to stay at Napoli despite the club’s poor run of form this season.

Napoli sustained a heavy 3-0 loss to Torino yesterday and ugly scenes followed. The club’s fans made their opinion clear against the club and the manager did not speak to the press after the defeat, as Antonio Conte watched on from the stands.

But despite the loss and the club dropping to as low as ninth in the table, Mazzarri’s future at the club is not in doubt. Il Mattino state that CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis is clear that Mazzarri will stay and he made that clear during a video call from Spain with the player’s and Mazzarri.

De Laurentiis was on a business trip in Spain and in the discussion with the team, the most burning issues at the club were discussed. Captain Giovanni di Lorenzo took the floor and took responsibility and there were discussions about whether the side will go into retreat or not.
