It’s nearly the end of the January transfer window, with Premier League clubs now just days away from potentially getting their business done.

There’s been plenty of transfer gossip over the last few weeks, and now we might finally see some action, as the Premier League winter break gives clubs and opportunity to put extra time into bringing in new signings.

Expect to see ins and outs at the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle, with the biggest potential deals highlighted by us below…

Dusan Vlahovic

One of the most talked about players at the moment, Dusan Vlahovic could be heading to either Arsenal or Juventus, depending on how things pan out.

Where next for Dusan Vlahovic?

The prolific young Serbia international has taken Serie A by storm and it would be exciting to see what he could do in the Premier League, though latest reports suggest it might be challenging for the Gunners to get this deal done.

It’s a saga worth keeping an eye on, however, as Vlahovic seemingly continues to be a top target for Arsenal as they look for a much-needed replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Adama Traore

A deal taking Adama Traore to Tottenham seems close now, in what should be an exciting signing for Spurs manager Antonio Conte.

The Italian tactician will no doubt have been keen to put his own stamp on this Spurs squad, with other big signings possibly on the way as well.

Traore had also been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona in recent times, so would represent a great coup by Tottenham if they pull it off.

Jesse Lingard

Jesse Lingard needs to play first-team football

It’s not yet clear if Jesse Lingard will move this January or stay at Manchester United until the end of the season, but Newcastle seem to be majorly stepping up their efforts to get him now.

Latest reports claim the cash-rich Magpies will pay £10million to Man Utd for a player who’d be a free agent at the end of the season – surely too good an offer for the Red Devils to turn down!

Lingard had also been linked with West Ham after shining on loan there last season, but it looks like he could be the latest to join the St James’ Park revolution.

Arthur Melo

Out of favour at Juventus, it looks like Arthur Melo could be on his way to Arsenal, most likely on loan.

There have been increasing rumours about a potential move to the Emirates Stadium being in the works, though they largely hinge on Juventus signing a replacement.

Arthur Melo could join Arsenal on loan

Different sources also offer different takes on how Arthur’s move might be formalised, with some stating he’ll join until the end of the season, while others suggest an 18-month loan is also possible.

Dele Alli

Completely out of the first-team picture at Tottenham now, it surely won’t be long until Dele Alli finally bids farewell to the club.

The 25-year-old has not lived up to the immense potential he showed as a youngster at Spurs, and it’s not yet clear what the future holds for him after his loss of form.

There’s been some talk of Newcastle being interested in Alli, but in truth they could probably do better than that right now, so it’ll be interesting to see who takes a gamble on him at this point.

Duvan Zapata

Another possible Newcastle signing could be Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata, whose name keeps cropping up towards the end of this window.

The 30-year-old Colombia international has shone in Serie A and could give Eddie Howe’s side something different up front, with talks supposedly taking place over a loan deal.

Duvan Zapata is a top transfer target for Newcastle United

Zapata looks like he’d be a good fit for Premier League football, and he’ll look to join other big names like Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood in moving to NUFC this winter.

Alexander Isak

If Arsenal miss out on Vlahovic, another name being linked with the club is Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak.

The Sweden international is another of the most promising young forwards in the game, with his fine form also seeing him attract interest from Barcelona in recent times.

Isak should be cheaper than Vlahovic and has also publicly expressed an interest in playing in the Premier League at some point in his career.

Denis Zakaria

A top target for Manchester United this January, Denis Zakaria has shone at Borussia Monchengladbach but is now nearing the end of his contract.

The Switzerland international seems ideal to give Man Utd a replacement for the likes of Fred and Nemanja Matic, and his contract situation should mean he can move on the cheap this winter.

However, the Red Devils will surely have to act fast to see off competition from the likes of Liverpool, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Denis Zakaria is attracting plenty of interest

Amadou Haidara

Another Bundesliga midfielder on United’s radar is RB Leipzig starlet Amadou Haidara – a player Ralf Rangnick knows well.

Still, the 23-year-old Mali international has also been linked with Newcastle recently, so it’s not entirely clear how this saga will pan out, and the Zakaria deal might also influence things.

Haidara is undoubtedly a big prospect, however, so expect to see him move in the near future, even if it’s not this January.

Yves Bissouma

Finally, Yves Bissouma is back in the headlines again as a host of top clubs show an interest in the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder.

Although big names like Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd have been linked with Bissouma in the past, he’s also been strongly talked up as a top target for both Newcastle and Aston Villa this month.

It might be that Bissouma will try his luck at a stepping stone club like that before a bigger move later, but one thing’s for sure and that’s that Brighton face a real fight to keep hold of their star player.
