Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic scored the only goal this evening as the Bianconeri emerged 1-0 victors away at Genoa.
The Serbian forward came on as a substitute just after the hour mark for Canadian striker Jonathan David and scored the winner to give Igor Tudor’s side an important three points on the road.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, with quotes via TuttoMercatoWeb, Vlahovic said “I only thought about coming on and doing well, like scoring a goal. It was a great victory against a tough team, I want to congratulate the coach and my teammates.”
Vlahovic’s goal in the win against Genoa takes his tally for the season to two goals from two games and this comes after the Serbian nearly left the Bianconeri earlier this summer.

After Juventus signed Jonathan David on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Lille, Vlahovic was considered to be up for sale and speculation in the Italian press even claimed the forward could terminate his contract with the club. However, when all the dust has settled, Old Lady GM Damien Comolli said the Serbian was ‘99% likely to stay’.
Vlahovic said “It is normal that people talk. I just have to train at my best. I’m very happy to have helped the team and I hope it will be the same in the future.”
“A new season has started but honestly I don’t know what has changed. I just hope to train well and make myself available to the team.”

Finally, the former Fiorentina striker was asked what he would do to win another trophy with the Bianconeri, to which he replied “We’ve already won one but it’s not enough. I’m not satisfied, that is not the level of Juventus. Winning another would be a wonderful feeling, we’ll take it game by game.”
