Sevilla have brought in Newcastle United goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos on loan for the 2025/26 season.
The 31-year-old has barely featured for the Magpies since arriving, with his only competitive outing coming in a 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over AFC Wimbledon last October. He was named on the bench just 14 times throughout the campaign.
Martin Dúbravka's departure to Burnley might have opened the door for more minutes, but Aaron Ramsdale’s summer arrival has kept Vlachodimos firmly down the pecking order.
The Greece international had the chance to move to the Saudi Pro League in January, with Al-Shabab tabling an offer, but he opted to stay in Europe.
Vlachodimos joined Newcastle from Nottingham Forest last summer for a reported £20 million, in a deal linked to Elliot Anderson’s £35m move in the opposite direction - a swap that helped both clubs meet the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
