Vivianne Miedema will become Manchester City’s new No.10 ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Dutch international wore the No.6 shirt during her first season at the Club, notching 11 goals in 19 appearances from both centre forward and midfield.
Widely regarded as one of the finest attacking players of her generation, Miedema replaces the departing Jill Roord as our new No.10.
Amongst a raft of individual honours, she’s both the Barclays Women’s Super League’s record goalscorer as well as the all-time top scorer for the Netherlands.
This summer, she even became the first Dutch player to score 100 senior international goals, doing so in her nation’s 3-0 Euro 2025 win over Wales.
Miedema is the eighth owner of the shirt since our professional relaunch, with Kim Turner first assigned the number in 2014.
Daphne Corboz then wore it during our 2016 double-winning campaign, before Carli Lloyd’s brief but famous stint at the Club saw her take ownership.
Danish forward Nadia Nadim was next to wear number ten, scoring eight times in 28 appearances during her 12-month stint in 2018.
Georgia Stanway would pick up the vacant shirt from the 2019/20 campaign before moving to Bayern Munich three years later, becoming record goalscorer and holding that title between 2022 and 2024.
Deyna Castellanos would take over responsibilities after joining City in the summer of 2022, before Roord wore the shirt for her final season at the Club in 2024/25.
But now, Miedema becomes City’s latest No.10.
