Vitor Roque’s new Barcelona jersey number revealed | OneFootball

The new jersey number to have been handed to Barcelona youngster Vitor Roque has today been revealed.

The subject of frontman Roque’s squad number has of course proven something of a headline talking point in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after confirmation arrived that the 19 shirt – which the Brazilian made use of last season – had been handed to teammate Lamine Yamal.

As much saw reports quickly spread that Roque’s time in Barcelona’s colours may be up, amid ongoing speculation pointing towards a summer exit.

The 19-year-old, though, was nevertheless afforded a starting berth in the Blaugrana’s latest pre-season outing, in the early hours of Wednesday.

And, in the process, Roque’s new shirt number was revealed.

Taking to the pitch against Manchester City in Orlando, the striker had no.17 emblazoned across his back.

Should he ultimately go on to stay put in Barcelona for the season ahead, Roque will therefore be expected to continue making use of the same jersey, as part of Hansi Flick’s squad.
