Vitor Roque opens up on relationship with Robert Lewandowski & reveals Pole’s advice | OneFootball

Barcelona star Vitor Roque has today provided an insight into his relationship with teammate Robert Lewandowski.

Frontman Roque, of course, made the move to Catalunya’s capital last month, to afford veteran Lewandowski with both help, and competition up top.

And the Brazilian, over the last couple of weeks, has managed precisely that, by way of goals in each of his last two appearances.

Some within the Barcelona fanbase, though, have pointed towards what they view as on-pitch tension between their side’s two strikers.

This comes amid the insinuation that Lewandowski has been reluctant to share possession with his young teammate.

If the latest comments on the part of Roque himself are anything to go by, however, then all in fact appears to be more than well between the attacking tandem.

Speaking as part of an in-depth interview with Mundo Deportivo this weekend, the winter Blaugrana addition was drawn on his relationship with Lewandowski.

And Roque could not speak highly enough of the Pole, explaining:

“He is an incredible player, like everyone in the locker room. He is a player who has made football history. I try to learn as much as possible from him, he always has the will to work. When the training ends I go with him and try to follow in his footsteps to learn as much as possible.”

Questioned on any advice he has received from a player to have been there and done that in Europe, Roque continued:

“He tells me that I am still very young, to rest assured because I have a bright future ahead of me.”
