Vitiello: Calafiori in pole position to replace Ballo-Toure – the price tag | OneFootball

While working on the sale of Fode Ballo-Toure, AC Milan have also identified the left-back’s successor. According to a report, Riccardo Calafiori is in pole position and the price tag has been revealed.

Ballo-Toure already has one foot out the door at Milan but his departure has been rather tricky for the Rossoneri thus far. Although many offers have arrived, there aren’t many that have convinced the Senegalese international.

According to Antonio Vitiello on his Youtube channel, Milan have identified the former Roma man Riccardo Calafiori as the replacement for Ballo-Toure. He currently plays for Basel and he would cost the Rossoneri €3-3.5m.

It’s a fair price given that Milan will use the 21-year-old as a backup, and it should also be noted that the Swiss side only paid €1m for his arrival last summer. First, however, the departure of Ballo-Toure will have to materialise and this is something that the Rossoneri are working on.
