Having finished the season with 24 goals in all competitions, Metz striker Georges Mikautadze played a key role in seeing his team pip Bordeaux on the final day to promotion back to the top flight, having been relegated the year before.
The Georgian international – who had previously been on loan at Belgian side Seraing for two seasons – has inevitably attracted interest from beyond Lorraine, in particular from clubs on the other side of the Channel.
Foot Mercato indicate that Milan were also keeping an eye on the 22-year-old, although the departure of Paolo Maldini has seen the Rossoneri move on from him.
