Esteemed Kompany host Steven Mcinerney reacts to Manchester City being crowned World Champions in the video below. The European champions became World Champions with a resounding 4-nil win over Fluminense in the FIFA Club World Cup final in Saudi Arabia.

City’s win cements their place in English football history. They become the first team to hold the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. Pep Guardiola’s side are the only side to have achieved the feat. It’s yet another accolade for this all-conquering team.

After claiming yet another title the hope is it can provide a springboard for the rest of the season. City haven’t been at their best of late but they showed their best football at the FIFA Club World Cup. The wins over Urawa Red Diamonds and Fluminense saw the champions return to form. The hope is they can carry that form back into the Premier League when they face Everton at Goodison Park.

Manchester City are World Champions!!!! It’s a title that will never get old.
