Paul Pogba has become the latest star to snub one of this summer’s Euros’ biggest sponsors – alcohol giants Heineken.

Following from his ‘Man of the Match’ performance during France’s 1-0 Group F win over Germany on Tuesday night, Pogba, who spoke to reporters, was quick to remove the bottle of beer from the table in front of him.

The Frenchman’s decision not to be associated with the beer is understood to be down to religious purposes, as per Daily Mail.

The Manchester United midfielder is a devout Muslim – and in Islam, the consumption of alcohol is forbidden.

Juventus and Portugal attacker Cristiano Ronaldo was also spotted removing a sponsor from a press conference table earlier this week.

The former United man made the decision to remove fizzy drink Coke-Cola and instead take the time to promote the consumption of water.
