Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum says that it is not his place to provide an update on his future as his contract continues to run down heading into the summer.
Wijnaldum is out of contract at the end of the season and is currently set to be a free agent ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. He is legally allowed to hold talks with clubs outside of England this month and sign a pre-contract agreement this month.
Barcelona have been linked with interest in the central midfielder as Ronald Koeman looks to link-up with Wijnaldum again, having worked with each other in the Netherlands national team.
The Dutch international says that it should be the club giving updates on his future, if anyone, rather than him saying anything to the media as speculation continues to swirl.
Football Daily shared the clip on Twitter, with Wijnaldum answering a reporter questioning him about his contract situation.
