Chelsea had a hard fought battle against Championship side Luton Town in the FA Cup 5th round last night.

The home side proved a very tough test for Chelsea and played very well, but in the end it was Thomas Tuchel’s side who came out on top showing their quality and fight.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek started the game playing as a centre back for the first time ever in his career, and he was actually named as man of the match subsequently after a fine performance.

“It means a lot coming off the back of the weekend it was disappointing and emotionally draining and difficult to take,” Loftus-Cheek said.

“We want to win and high motivation it’s a fantastic day. For us it’s a case of being mentally strong and getting the job done. It was more difficult than we expected but we had to climb back and credit to the boys that we did.”
