Cole Palmer has proved to be a rare hit for Chelsea in the transfer market this season. He arrived on Deadline Day and has done well ever since. But it might never have happened. It almost didn’t in fact.
Sky Sports did a good interview with him where he admitted he was happy to keep trying at City, but was told he wouldn’t be able to go on loan. He had to stay as a backup or leave permanently. He did the latter, and Chelsea are the beneficiaries.
