Victor Valdes on the verge of Barcelona return

Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is on the verge of going back to Camp Nou to work as a youth coach.

Valdes hung up his gloves in 2017 after leaving Middlesbrough and has ever since failed to find a club.

But after two years on the sidelines, it now looks as if the 37-year-old could be ready to get back into the game, with the Blaugrana confirming that they are in negotiations to see Valdes work with the kids.

“I spoke with Valdes a few days ago, and he asked me ‘Presi, is it not time to come home’?

“I asked him to give me some time to think about it, and where he could fit in to our youth set up.

“We will be making an offer to him in the coming days.”
