VfB Stuttgart and PAOK reach agreement on Giannis Konstantelias transfer

Kicker reports that VfB Stuttgart have agreed to meet PAOK Saloniki’s asking price in the matter of Giannis Konstantelias. The 22-year-old will move to the Bundesliga for a base-transfer-fee of €18m. A additional €3m in bonus payments shall persuade the Greek club to let their attacking talent go.
The Konstantelias deal has been subject to stalls for most of the month. The 13-times-capped Greek international nevertheless remained firm in his demands to move to the Swabians. Konstantelias shall constitute Stuttgart’s second major signing of the summer after defender Lorenz Assignon.
In other Stuttgart-related personnel news, it appears as if the Württemberger are set to complete another major signing soon in the form of Borussia Dortmund prospect Cole Campbell. Matters appear less sanguine when it comes to the club’s pursuit of Nürnberg’s Caspar Jander.
Kicker and Sport Bild concurrently report that the 22-year-old simply proved too expensive for the Cannstatter club. Stuttgart have lined up a lower-cost alternative prospect in Real Madrid midfielder Chema Andrés. The 20-year-old is expected to be unveiled by the club soon.
