Real Madrid welcomed Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure maximum points at home in La Liga. Los Blancos made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Ander Barrenetxea found the back of the net. The Madrid giants failed to find a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Federico Valverde scored for Carlo Ancelotti’s side almost immediately after the restart before Joselu completed the turnaround at the hour mark. The contest ended with Real Madrid securing a hard-fought 2-1 win in the Spanish capital.

LB: Fran Garcia – 7.5/10

He performed his defensive duties well and was a real threat going forward. Garcia ended the game with two assists to his name.

CDM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 6.5/10

The French midfield ace earned possession back once and made one decent chance in the final third.

Valverde worked his socks off in both halves and ended up netting the equaliser in the 46th minute.
