La Liga side Valencia are actively seeking to strengthen their squad for the future, and Alex Jimenez has emerged as a priority target, according to a report from CalcioMercato.
The 19-year-old Spaniard, currently playing for AC Milan, has caught the attention of Valencia’s scouting team. However, the move faces a significant hurdle in the form of Real Madrid’s involvement.
Jimenez, who joined AC Milan from Real Madrid in the summer of 2023, has shown immense potential despite limited opportunities with Milan’s first team under the guidance of manager Paulo Fonseca.
While he has not yet established himself at the top level, the youngster has impressed in Serie C, delivering crucial goals and gaining valuable playing time. Milan see him as a key player for their future plans, making a transfer complicated.

Valencia have reportedly taken the first step by enquiring about the possibility of signing Jimenez. Their proposal includes a loan deal with an option to buy. However, AC Milan are reluctant to part ways with a player they consider an asset for the years to come.
Complicating matters further is the buy-back clause Real Madrid secured during Jimenez’s transfer. This clause allows Madrid to match any attractive offer Milan receives, potentially giving them an upper hand in negotiations.
Valencia’s interest in Jimenez aligns with their broader strategy of investing in young, promising talents. At the same time, though, Real Madrid’s need of a full-back is also a necessity.
However, whether this move materialises depends on Milan’s willingness to negotiate and the extent to which Real Madrid decide to exercise their buy-back option.
As things stand, the future of Alex Jimenez remains uncertain. His development and the interest from both Valencia and Real Madrid make him a player to watch closely in the coming months.
