Valencia star misses training again ahead of Real Sociedad meeting | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga outfit Valencia was forced to sit out training for the 2nd day in succession on Wednesday.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Hugo Duro as the player in question.

Valencia, like the rest of La Liga’s clubs, are currently in the thick of final preparations for a return to action this coming weekend.

Los Che have for their part been pencilled in for an opening day meeting with Real Sociedad, at Mestalla.

As alluded to above, though, just days out from the clash, boss Carlos Corberán has been left to sweat over the participation of a key member of his frontline.

As per a report from MD:

‘Hugo Duro is still not training with the group. The Madrid striker has gone two days without training with his teammates and did individual training on the pitch at the Paterna Sports City.’

Despite as much, Duro and his entourage remain hopeful that he will have recovered in time to face Real Sociedad on Saturday.
