Valencia set to close deal for Aston Villa star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Valencia are closing on a fresh addition to the club’s midfield ranks.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Enzo Barrenechea as the player in question.

Youngster Barrenechea has already been on the move once this summer.

This came upon the Argentine making the move to Premier League outfit Aston Villa, as part of the operation which saw Douglas Luiz head in the other direction to Juventus.

Evidently, however, Barrenechea has been deemed not yet ready to act as a regular contributor by Villa head coach Unai Emery.

The 23-year-old, in turn, is all set for a loan departure from the Claret and Blue.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, Barrenechea is primed for an imminent La Liga switch, to link up with Rubén Baraja’s Valencia:

”Enzo Barrenechea, set to join Valencia on loan deal from Aston Villa with salary covered. Almost done.’
