As reported by Deportes COPE Valencia, Hugo Guillamón has agreed to sign a new deal with Valencia until 2026.
In a recent interview with A Punt, he acknowledged that “I don’t know when it [new deal] will be announced, it’s in the hands of the club and my agents. I trust them, they know my wishes and what they have to do. My objective is to enjoy myself here in Valencia and I’m very happy. I hope we have a good year and that all the objectives are met”.
His current deal at Mestalla was due to expire in 2023. The La Liga club are expected to officially announce the player’s new deal shortly.
Once Guillamón’s renewal has been announced, the next one should be that of José Luís Gayá. Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso himself stated on Saturday that “I think José, our captain, is happy and I hope for his renewal because the club has made a very big effort. We have spoken and I think he will sign the renewal. I hope he does because the club have made a very big effort”.
