Two headline members of the first-team ranks at La Liga outfit Valencia were again notable absentees from group training on Wednesday.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Rubén Baraja’s squad.
Valencia marked their return to training earlier today, following a two-day break on the back of the club’s disappointing defeat at the hands of Real Betis over the weekend.
As much comes with a view to steadying the ship, when Los Che make the trip to Catalunya, for a daunting meeting with Barcelona.
In efforts towards precisely that, however, boss Baraja could well still be without two headline members of his squad.
As per the aforementioned MD, both José Gayà and Roman Yaremchuk were put through individualised training sessions this afternoon.
The former is continuing to work towards his return from a quad injury, whilst the latter has been dealing with an ischium problem of late.
Whilst attacker Yaremchuk has not yet been ruled out for Monday’s visit to Barcelona, Gayà is considered highly unlikely to feature.
