Valencia CF continue to strengthen its ties with Mexico, where it will launch its first VCF Academy Mexico starting in August 2025. This new VCF Academy allows Valencia CF to continue expanding in a strategic market such as Mexico, which will co-host the 2026 World Cup alongside the United States and Canada—countries where Valencia CF already operates several VCF Academies.

The new academy will be based in Morelia, the capital of the state of Michoacán, a city with a population of 800,000—similar to that of Valencia. This marks another step in Valencia CF’s growing presence in the North American country, where it has been organizing various VCF Camps since 2024 and played a friendly match last October against the Mexican National Team.

The new VCF Academy Mexico in Morelia is being launched in collaboration with NETA Agencia Deportiva and will offer year-round training activities throughout the entire season. These will be complemented by different VCF Camps held in other parts of Mexico.

The VCF Academy Morelia project will be under the direct supervision of the technical staff responsible for the VCF Academy Programs. Valencia CF's presence in Mexico also carries an emotional and historical significance, as the descendants of Octavio Augusto Milego—the first president of Valencia CF—reside in Mexico.

VCF Academy Mexico becomes part of the network of VCF Academies that Valencia CF operates across key strategic markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. These academies help expand the club’s brand image and promote the training methodology of the VCF Academy, which has been ranked the fourth-best in Europe for developing elite-level players, according to the CIES Football Observatory.
