Samuel Luckhurst has had it with Manchester United and their disappointing displays, describing the current team as the worst version of the club in his lifetime.
The Red Devils produced another shambolic showing on Boxing Day, succumbing to defeat at the hands of Wolves at the Molineux. They have now extended their disastrous run to three defeats in seven days, having suffered elimination at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup last Thursday, followed by a 0-3 humbling loss to Bournemouth on Sunday.
So with all the enthusiasm sparked by Ruben Amorim’s arrival swiftly becoming a thing of the past, the team looks more uninspired than ever, while lying in a disastrous 14th spot in the Premier League standings.
Bruno Fernandes emerged as the big villain, collecting two yellow cards for needless, ill-advised challenges that left his teammates with a man down for almost the entire second half. This was obviously the opening the home side needed, with Matheus Cunha scoring the opener from a direct corner kick shortly afterwards, before sealing the victory by creating Hwang Hee-chan’s last-minute goal.
For his part, Luckhusrt, an Old Trafford insider who lives and breathes Man Utd, can hardly contain his disdain at this stage.

The British journalist lashed out at the current crop of players, labeling them as pushovers who don’t deserve to don the famous red shirt.
“This is easily the worst United side of my lifetime, and probably the worst since the club was relegated in 1974,” argued the Manchester Evening News writer on his personal X account.
“Pushovers from back to front, they operate at such a lifeless pace the majority seem literally unfit to wear the shirt. Utterly pathetic.”
This rant will certainly resonate with the majority of the Red Devils’ supporters who have been forced to watch their beloved club sink deeper and deeper since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
