Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos looked impressive once again in the heart of Arsenal’s midfield as the Gunners came from behind to defeat Vitória 3-2 in dramatic fashion on Thursday night.
Ceballos has received the regular first-team football he left Madrid for and now rumours have emerged that Arsenal could land the 23-year-old for as little as €35m if they want to make his deal permanent.
However, Gunners boss Unai Emery would not discuss whether or not they were lining up a move for the Spain international.
“I think it is too soon to say,” Emery said.
“Ceballos is doing great things here, he is playing regularly. Of course I know he has a lot of potential and I think this is just the start for him.
“We need to recognize that all players need time to adapt to the Premier League. He’s in that process and I really want to accelerate it.
“He had some good games, sometimes it’s not been easy for him. I think that’s normal. But again, I think it is too early to talk about incorporating him in different conditions.”
Ceballos has already featured 13 times for Arsenal this season, scoring a goal and adding two assists.
