Unai Emery began his first week of Arsenal training on Monday and is already implementing his own rules at London Colney.
The former PSG and Sevilla boss welcomed his players back to pre-season, where medical checks, fitness tests and ball work took place in the summer sun.
According to the Mirror, Emery has also limited players using mobile phones at the training ground and has banned them from using them completely during lunchtime.
The report claims that Emery wants to build a better relationship between the players – academy included – and the coaching team.
Young players will also be asked to integrate in the hope that bonds formed through conversation will benefit them on the pitch.
Emery believes having phones at the dinner table will encourage players to isolate themselves by listening to music or interacting with friends outside the ground.
