Inter were able to offer Alexis Sanchez the deal that they did due to not having to pay a fee for him according to a report from British broadcaster Sky Sports, which has been reported via their online edition.
Inter signed the Chilean up on a free transfer earlier on today on a three year contract and will pay him £28 million (approximately €31 million) in wages over the duration of the deal.
Sanchez took a pay cut to join the Nerazzurri club and the report also explains that he receieved a pay-off in the region of €5-7 million from Manchester United by agreeing to free himself from his contract which he was earning £560,000 a week from (approximately €620,000).
The former Barcelona and Arsenal star had been on loan at Inter prior to being signed on a permanent basis today and over the course of the season, he has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored four goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
