Manchester United have named their lineup for tonight’s EFL Cup third round clash with Barnsley at Old Trafford.
As expected, Erik ten Hag has shuffled his deck, with changes from the side that beat Southampton 3-0 on Saturday.
Manuel Ugarte makes his first start for the club, and is joined in midfield by Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. At the back, there is starts for Harry Maguire and Johnny Evans, while young midfielder Toby Collyer is in at left-back.
There is also a place in the side for Antony, who has made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season, as well as goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, who makes just his second appearance for United.
United lineup in full: Bayindir; Dalot, Maguire, Evans, Collyer; Ugarte, Casemiro, Fernandes/Eriksen; Antony, Garnacho, Rashford.
Ten Hag, of course, won the cup in his first season at the club (2022/23), and starts his quest for another domestic trophy tonight against the League One side.
