UEFA’s Aleksander Ceferin: “Roma’s Conference League final was more popular than EL final.”

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin – a strong proponent of the UEFA Conference League – praised the competition’s success and popularity in a recent appearance at the congress of AIPS and USSI.

Ceferin reiterated the Conference League’s growing popularity by comparing the viewership of the final involving Roma and Feyenoord to last season’s Europa League final.

“I am happy with how the Nations League and the Conference League are growing,” said Ceferin.

“There were many who criticised the Conference League at first, but now want to organise these competitions in bigger stadiums.”
