Scrambling to avoid relegation, Udinese are considering a managerial switch prior to Thursday’s replay against Roma.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Friulian side are pondering Gabriele Cioffi’s dismissal following yesterday’s 1-0 defeat to Verona. After overnight deliberations, the club seem intent on changing coaches for the final stretch of the season.
The Zebrette currently sit just above the relegation zone with 28 points, only one more than 18th placed Frosinone. With the threat of relegation looming, the club is looking for a new solution to achieve safety.
Udinese are expected to make a final decision sometime Sunday, but they seem convinced a change is needed. It would potentially represent their second coaching change of the season following their dismissal of Andrea Sottil after matchday nine.
