Bayern Munich travelled to Portugal to face Benfica in their third Group game of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League season. They scored all four goals late in the second half, with a brace from Leroy Sane, an Everton own-goal, and a fourth from their talisman Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich had to contest in very few aerial duels in the game except on the right and left side of the defence, Lucas Hernandez won four duels with a lot of other players winning two or one. There were a few aerial duels contested in both the penalty boxes as most of the football was played with grounded passes. Lewandowski won four aerial duels for the Bavarians.
There were a lot of loose ball duels in the match, especially in the midfield area. Joshua Kimmich made four loose ball recoveries in the game.
The victory was Bayern Munich’s third in three games, as they’ve scored 12 goals without conceding. They sit at a comfortable place at the top of the group. Benfica are currently second with four points, only one ahead of third-placed Barcelona.
