The Going Gets Tough Award

JĆ¼rgen Klopp has never been in a situation like this at Liverpool.

The Reds were destroyed by Napoli 4-1 on Wednesday leaving many to ponder where the Merseyside club go from here.

The Game Recognises Game Award

Celtic may have lost to Real Madrid on Tuesday night but the home fans stood to applaud Luka Modrić after he was taken off towards the end of the match, having score a brilliant outside of the boot curler.

A touching moment for a stunning player.

The Golden Age Award

Are we currently living in a goalscorer golden age?

There seems to be a world class striker at every turn in this competition but perhaps none are more lethal than Robert Lewandowski.

The Poland international scored his first hat-trick for Barcelona and became the first player to score hat-tricks for three different clubs in the Champions League.

The Boy Came Good Award

Leroy SanƩ has often blown hot and cold since his move to Bayern Munich 12 months ago.

But on Wednesday evening against Inter, he was a sensation guiding the Bavarians to a 2-0 win at San Siro.

The Best Son Award

A beautiful moment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as goalscorer Richarlison was greeted by his parents in the stands as he netted his first goals for the club.

The End of the Road Award

Reader, there was no more.

The Coronation Award

In case you needed any more evidence as to whether Kylian MbappƩ is the best in the game right now, his first half performance against Juventus had it all.

Itā€™s scary how good that front three of MbappĆ©, Neymar and Lionel Messi are right now.

The Means More Award

The performance of the week goes to Shakhtar Donetsk who beat RB Leipzig 4-1 on Tuesday.

Not only did they secure a crucial three points in their opening game, but did it all whilst the spectre of the war in Ukraine hung over everyone in the squad.

A remarkable squad doing remarkable things.

The No Stopping Award

Erling Haaland just loves scoring goals.

And more specifically ā€“ loves scoring goals in the Champions League.

The Manchester City man was at it agains this week as he netted twice in their 4-0 win over Sevilla.
