Ipswich Town forward Tyreece John-Jules has taken to Instagram to share a five-word message with the club’s supporters following his side’s latest outing.

The 21-year-old helped the Blues seal all three points in their showdown with Cambridge United on Tuesday by finding the back of the net at Portman Road.

Introduced as a substitute in the second-half of this fixture, John-Jules made an immediate impact for Ipswich as he opened the scoring in the 72nd minute.

The forward fired home from close range after a cross was deflected into his path.

Kyle Edwards then doubled Ipswich’s advantage by firing an effort past Cambridge goalkeeper X from outside of the area.

Edwards added a third for the Blues in the closing stages of the game as they retained second place in the League One standings.

Ipswich will be looking to back up this latest triumph by securing a positive result in their showdown with Morecambe on Saturday.

The forward posted three images of himself in action against Cambridge with the caption: “Tuesday night under the lights.”

The Verdict

When you consider that Ipswich were struggling to break Cambridge down before the introduction of John-Jules and Edwards, manager Kieran McKenna would have been delighted by the impact that these two players made on Tuesday.

John-Jules will be determined to build upon this cameo display in the coming weeks as he aims to earn a regular spot in Ipswich’s starting eleven.

Having already illustrated this season that he is capable of playing in a number of different attacking roles, the England Under-21 international’s versatility could prove to be extremely useful for the Blues.

If he is handed another chance to impress against Morecambe, it will be interesting to see whether John-Jules will be able to add to the two league goals that he has scored for Ipswich this season in this particular fixture.
