Two wins at Leonidas Awards

Jaissle and Seiwald honoured

The Leonidas sportsperson of the year award from Salzburger Nachrichten has brought us so many reasons to celebrate in the spring. Just like last year, we got our hands on two coveted Lion Trophies - a gold and a bronze one.

Matthias Jaissle retained his title as Coach of the Year and has therefore followed in the footsteps of his predecessors, Marco Rose and Jesse Marsch, who also won the honour twice.

Our local lad also won a trophy! Nicolas Seiwald gathered enough votes from readers to be nominated and the jury voted him Bronze Leonidas winner in the Sportsperson of the Year category. Ski jumper Stefan Kraft won gold again, just like he did last year.
