When Luis Suárez arrived at Atletico Madrid from Barcelona, the Uruguayan striker signed a one-year deal, which means he is now free to negotiate with any club interested in his services after the season ends. Recently, both Liverpool and Inter Miami have reportedly offered a contract to the 34-year-old, as per Deportes Cuatro.

Although the former Barcelona player seems to be happy at Atlético and could extend his contract next season, there are reportedly two teams interested in acquiring his services. One of them is Liverpool, who see Suárez as an adequate replacement option in case their star Mohamed Salah decides to leave this summer. The defending Premier League champions are one of the Uruguayan’s former teams, which adds an extra bit of spice in this transfer.

The other party interested in the services of the striker is David Beckham’s Inter Miami which plays in the MLS. The American club would not only be interested in signing Suárez because of his quality but also because of the positive impact that the signing would have on the Latino community in Miami. In addition to the same, it would add another layer of luxury to the MLS, which attracts viewers.

Suárez moved from Barcelona to the Spanish capital in last summer’s transfer window. The transfer fee ended up being symbolic, as it could sum up to only €6 million depending on variables.

Since, then, Uruguayan has exceeded the expectations, playing at a top-level regularly. Proof of the same is his 19 goals for Diego Simeone’s side, jotting him as one of the top scorers in La Liga.

Since that move in September, his former team has been constantly suffering from output in front of goal, as Ronald Koeman seems to not have found his ideal player. The likes of Martin Braithwaite, Ousmane Dembele, and Lionel Messi have not been able to replicate the form Ansu Fati showed early in the season.
