Chelsea’s UEFA Women’s Champions League, semi-final, second leg tie against FC Barcelona at Stamford Bridge has officially been declared a sell-out.

The Blues face the European champions at The Bridge on Saturday evening. Chelsea could be as little as 90 minutes away from securing a second appearance in a UEFA Women’s Champions League final.

Excitement has been building in the days leading up to the match and fans have moved to secure their tickets in large numbers. Chelsea have this evening provided a ticket update confirming that all tickets have now been sold. A crowd in the region of 40,000 are now set to back The Blues as they look to set up the prospect of a perfect farewell for manager Emma Hayes by qualifying for next month’s final in Bilbao.

Chelsea put in an heroic performance in the first leg in Spain a week ago. The Blues won that tie 1-0 thanks to Erin Cuthbert’s first half goal. Chelsea had 34 percent of the ball against Barcelona, however, they managed to limit the home side to just one shot on target. Barcelona are likely to throw everything at the South West Londoners in the second leg and they will again have to defend resolutely.

Chelsea’s UEFA Women’s Champions League, semi-final, second leg tie against Barcelona kicks-off at 5.30pm on Saturday evening.
