As the current season approaches its end, FC Barcelona are set to face a highly busy summer ahead, as they will be looking to make the required changes in their squad to be able to fight for all the possible titles in the coming season.

For this purpose, the Catalans will be looking to make some additions to their team, with the acquisition of a midfield pivot and a forward the two objectives high on their agenda. However, their financial problems mean Barcelona will have to make some sales to make room for the salaries of their new players.

According to the journalist Laia Tudel Prades, there are two key players that are the most likely to leave this summer according to Deco’s consideration, i.e., Raphinha and Ronald Araujo, especially if the club is able to return to the 1:1 rule.

Both these players have played at a high level this summer and thus may command a high transfer fee in the market. The Brazilian is currently valued at €50 million, and has a high demand in the Premier League, and the Catalans can use this demand to sell him for an even higher price.

On the other hand, Araujo is valued at €70 million, and despite being one of the most important players for Xavi, his future is highly uncertain at Barcelona, mainly because of the vigor with which Bayern Munich have pursued him in the last few months. Previous reports indicated that the Blaugranes might be able to get more than €100 million from his sale.

Thus, despite Raphinha and Araujo being two very important players for Barcelona, the club might be open to selling them as their sales can solve a lot of their economic problems, and if the Catalans are able to return to the 1:1 rule, all of the income obtained from their sales can be spent on getting new players.
