Two Premier League matches were temporarily suspended on Wednesday night by medical emergencies in the crowd.
Shortly after kick-off in the fixture between Watford and Chelsea at Vicarage Road, the match was stopped and both teams were taken off the field while medics treated a supporter who had collapsed in the Graham Taylor Stand.
And then elsewhere, the second half of Southampton’s game with Leicester at St Mary’s was also delayed due to a medical emergency in the crowd there.
Earlier this season, Newcastle’s match with Tottenham also had to be stopped for around 20 minutes while a Newcastle fan received emergency medical assistance for a heart problem.
