Two Bianconere named in the Team of the Week | OneFootball

The 2024/25 Serie A season opened in style for our Women’s First Team on Sunday, claiming a 6-3 win away at Sassuolo. As a result of their part in that win, both Arianna Caruso and Sofia Cantore were named in the official Best XI - Team of the Week - for Matchday 1.

Caruso, as well as assisting Valentina Bergamaschi for the Bianconere’s third goal, was the midfielder to have taken part in the most duels across the league. She won eight of her 13, second only to Giada Greggi’s nine.

Cantore, meanwhile, was the only player in the league to have completed 100% of her attempted dribbles successfully, of those who attempted at least two. Sofia completed each of her three.

OUT ON LOAN

It was an opening matchday to remember for three other youngsters out on loan, with Ginevra Moretti (Napoli), Giulia Bison (Sampdoria) and Federica D’Auria (Lazio) all debuting in the Italian top flight.
