It is no surprise to learn that Albert Gudmundsson is attracting the interest of the top clubs in Italy given how good he has been for Genoa this season, with AC Milan reportedly among his admirers.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) speaks about Juventus’ plans for the upcoming summer window and they give an update on Gudmundsson, who Genoa purchased in 2021 from PSV Eindhoven.

Last season he was the protagonist of their promotion back Serie A with 11 goals, and he is flying this season too with 12 goals and four assists to his name across 29 games in all competitions.

Juve want him and they believe he could be an excellent addition to their attacking department, but there is strong competition for the player from two other Italian teams, namely Milan and Inter.

The Turin-based paper claims that it is the Rossoneri who are the most active when it comes to trying to sign the Iceland international, while Genoa would ask for €30m for their jewel if they are to sell ahead of next summer.

As a reminder, Gudmundsson’s great-grandfather actually played for Milan a few decades back so there is already a link with the red and black, but whether that will factor into his decision remains to be seen.
