He underwent a knee operation at the end of May and is now continuing with his rehabilitation. His contract with the Rossoneri actually expired on June 30 but he is still seen as part of the team and will be back under contract soon.
Ibrahimovic is discussing the deal with the club which will be a low fixed fee with various bonuses that are linked to appearances, goals, and team objectives.
Given that he is now 40 years old and this is his second knee operation, it is not clear what sort of player Milan will be getting later in the season when he returns to fitness.
