Lazio coach Igor Tudor will reportedly drop Luis Alberto from the matchday squad once again when the team travels north to take on Inter Milan this weekend.

The 31-year-old’s bond with the club has dramatically deteriorated in the past few months. The Spaniard announced his desire to leave the club last month, urging the hierarchy to rescind his contract, but Lazio President Claudio Lotito made it clear that the player can only leave for a satisfying offer, reportedly around €15 million.

Moreover, the situation took a turn for the worse last week when Tudor left Luis Alberto out of the squad that took on Empoli on Sunday in what was a special occasion for the Biancocelesti celebrating the 50th anniversary of the club’s maiden Scudetto title. This was reportedly due to the Spaniard’s lack of effort in training.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Croatian manager will likely oust the former Liverpool man once more this weekend against Inter, as well as the final fixture of the season against Sassuolo. This means that Luis Alberto may have already played his last match for Lazio.

Furthermore, the Roman newspaper believes the playmaker must find himself a buyer who’s willing to meet Lotito’s asking price, or risks becoming an exile at Formello next summer. The source also mentions interest from Napoli, but it remains to be seen if the Biancocelesti President would be willing to sell the midfielder to a direct Italian competitor.

Luis Alberto was also linked with a move to Qatar, while he still dreams of returning to Spain through the gates of Sevilla or Cadiz.
