With Kylian Mbappe having played his final match for Paris Saint-Germain, all the talk in the Spanish capital is about when he will arrive at Real Madrid, and when his presentation will be. However he still has unfinished business in France.

According to L’Equipe, as reported by Diario AS, Mbappe is yet to be paid by the French champions for the month of April. The 25-year-old is also due a bonus of €80m, which was supposed to be paid in February, but has not been. Relations with PSG CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi are completely broken, and he had sought a written document from Mbappe stating that he would forego that loyalty bonus, but now Mbappe’s camp are demanding its payment.

Equally between the final three months of his contract (April, May, June) Mbappe will be due around €18m in wages, taking the total figure that he is due from PSG to €98m, unless he decides to waive some of it. Since Mbappe decided against staying at PSG, Al-Khelaifi has also demanded that Real Madrid pay the €80m loyalty bonus, a claim that has clearly fallen on deaf ears.

Los Blancos need not concern themselves with PSG, who presumably will pay in order to end up with a breach of contract. It is less ideal for Mbappe himself, who will already have to adapt to living in a new country for the first time, and deal with the fanfare of his arrival in Madrid. He is unlikely to want distractions ahead of the Euros either.
